Fri, 7 Feb 2020A TeamSpring ViewHome25-6Wigan St Judes A’team came out 25-6 winners against local side Spring View in a very entertaining friendly on Friday night.
St Judes now have a very refreshing youthful look to their side with nine of the players under 20 years of age that included Saul Mills, Kian Lawton, Callum Kneafcy, Jack Sharples, Jack Mills, Brandon Corfield, Danny Hammond, Owen Birch and 16 year old flyer Rio Roberts. This youthful core was guided well by the experienced players such as Danny Clayton, Chris Pimblett, Mike Stevenson, Nathan Moore, and Josh Rogerson.
This enjoyable encounter was end to end but St Judes always looked comfortable and more importantly, in control.
Tries scorers for St Judes were Nathan Moore, Callum Kneafcy, Jack Mills, and Josh Rogerson, with Danny Hammond and Jack Mills converting 2 goals each.
With such a superbly polished and enthusiastic team performance, it was impossible to single out any individual stand out performer.
