Sunday, 12 June 202210's - MaroonsOldham St AnnesHome40-10The Maroons welcomed Oldham St Annes to a perfect sunday morning down at Parsons Meadow

The effort from all 11 lads was outstanding as they played with no substitutes in very warm conditions.

Oldham took an early lead and it looked liked the boys were in for a tough morning but Judes' defence held strong

This was possibly the best ever attacking performance from Judes as they threw the ball about throughout the match playing some absolutely fantastic rugby

All in all it was a excellent performance

Wigan St Judes U11’s Golds V Cadishead.
The turnaround of the season for our group, we welcomed Cadishead to the meadow on a sunny Sunday morning.
Judes kicked off Cadishead collecting the ball, a couple of tackles in and they lost control of the ball, Tommy Shaw collecting and powering through the defence and carrying a few on his back he went over to score. Ollie Caddick converting.
Cadishead ball they handled it well only using a couple of key players to drive it up the field, kicking on the last, Judes took a couple of tackles before passing out wide to Zak Lushchan backing himself to the try line. Will Cobley converting.
Cadishead couldn’t keep hold of the ball, Declan Haskayne scooping it and setting off for the line, scoring a try for himself. Jayden King converting.
A couple of sets from each team getting near the line but no score, Cadishead kicked on the last, Jayden King collecting and passing out wide to Henlea Baynham ducking and diving then he set off racing to the try line. Paddy Kelly converting
Another set for Cadishead, who didn’t complete because of errors, Jayden King skipped to the ball, carrying it well over to the whitewash. Conversion missed.

Second half Cadishead kicked to Judes. Judes collected and instantly passed to Jayden King who went the full length of the field for his 2nd try. Freddie Davies converting.
Judes worked hard to keep Cadishead at bay, the ball passed to Paddy Kelly who went over to score a try, a first for him this season, Tommy Shaw converting.
Cadishead had a big run, Judes missing them on tackles, Cadishead went straight for the corner, only to knock on right before the line. Judes Ball and again like lightening Jayden King set off for a full length try, Archie Unsworth converting
Next try and his fourth of the day came from Jayden King, the ball was passed through the line and back to Jayden who managed to weave himself through the Cadishead team to score. Spencer Parkinson converting.
Will only a couple of minutes left, Judes were determined to not let a try in, line speed was immense, getting the tackles in before the turnover. Last play of the game came from Archie Unsworth who raced along the wing to bag the last try of the day. Declan Haskayne converting.

A massive team effort today, Judes defence was awesome, some big hits on their key players and Judes putting on the pressure.

Sunday, 12 June 202215'sCrosfieldsHome4-18Sunday morning at the Meadows was a little windy when U15s took on Crossfields .
Judes have had a few hard weeks , moving players about , injuries and general motivation but today looked in good form and ready to go .
Taking on top spot is always going to be hard but Judes went out there all guns blazing . A couple of mistakes saw Judes go down by 6 but not out . 1st half was end to end , a few mistakes by both teams but some great rugby on show at the same time . Half time saw Judes trailing 4-12 .
2nd half was much of the same but Judes tightened up their defence keeping Crossfields honest . Judes defence forced error after error at times and Crossfields found it hard to get passed a determined Judes side .
Final score was 4-18 to Crossfields but Judes should be very proud of a much improved performance this week .
They gave M.O.M to Brad
Coaches M.O.Ms went to Nathan Stafford , Alex Stokes , Ryleigh Moore
Also like to say it's nice to see Alfie Tate and Sam Littler back from long injuries , a few more games to get match fit .
Well done Everyone
