St Jude’s 1st team were 36-12 winners over Dewsbury Moor in an entertaining NCL Division 2 clash at Parsons Meadow.

St Jude’s dominated field position in the first half but Dewsbury moor scored first against run of play 6-0 them. A James Worthington break got St Jude’s back on the front foot straight away and good work on the left edge led to Connor Parkinson running in under the sticks 6-6. Danny Fallon added a penalty 8-6 then followed that up with a try himself after a nice little kick and collect by himself 14-6 half time.

Second half St Jude’s dominated and it wasn’t long before second row forward Kieran Rennox extended St Jude’s advantage again from nice play by Fallon on the left edge.

St Jude’s really started to turn the screw and following some patient build up play Jacob Dugdale raced in to score 2 tries in as many minutes, one of which being a great solo effort to take the game away from Dewsbury moor. Connor Parkinson wrapped up the scoring before a late Dewsbury moor consolation try full time 36-12
