A glance at the table before this match would have told you a close encounter was set to ensue. Instead Judes always looked in control of this game even after Askams early onslaughts. This was one of Jude's best performances and most recent in a string of substantial improvements. But the manner of this performance was nothing short of delightful and went some way to vindicating the process Martin Cunningham, Peter Thomas and Martin Riley are currently going through with this side. After Askams first attack opener Judes quickly hit back with their first attack with a sweeping backline play were Bevan, Collier and Fenney found Gavin Rodden who put in a sweet little grubber kick for winger Baz Rothwell to score wide out , Man of the Match Rob Collier slotted over from the touch line. Jude's forwards carted the Ball forward with a presence, and Tom Owen , Oly Oladele, Paul Pendlebury, Gavin Rodden, Dave Fagan , and Luke Barrett always eager to do their bit on Defence as well. Jude's next try was a carbon copy of the previous week game when Gavin Rodden broke free on the left edge with Winger Joey Brady supporting who created the space for Gavin Rodden to finish it off wide out with a great try , once again the boot of Collier added the two. With halftime approaching the home side levelled the scores with a somewhat lucky kick for a try. So the game went into the second half level at 14-14 and the home side having the momentum in their favour, but loose pass by Askam was intercepted by the ever dangerous Gavin Rodden who quickly burst clear to score by the posts,Rob Collier goaled 20-14 to the Jude's. Full Back Nathan Jones was safe at the back and was always dangerous with ball in hand and on many occasions was really tested by the home side and Askam did have their moments but with Jude's line speed restricting their go forward Jude's always had the upper hand in this game and the hunger to win was clearly on show by the Judes.  St Jude's final try was a cracker when the ball was kept alive brilliantly by Collier and Fenney before Connor Parkinson hit the winger Ashley Marshall who wasn't going to be stopped for a touchdown in the corner to seal this great win 24-14. After this Jude's will certainly fear no one in their run in for promotion.

The Maroon and Gold Wall held firm in the second half keeping a clean sheet, a massive pat on the back lads not many teams will do that at Askam.
